Have you been trying to get your blog noticed by Google or other search engines, and you have absolutely no luck? If so, you might be missing out on a very important aspect of SEO rankings. Keywords are incredibly important for any website or blog and if you don’t know how to find or use them, you are going to have a tough time.
That is why, I am going to show you how to use keywords in blogging.
What is a Keyword
If you are new at blogging or websites, you might not know this. So, I am going to let you in on a secret today. The key to your success is keywords. A keyword is a word or phrase that internet viewers type into a search bar in Google, Bing or Yahoo. The websites that are most credible will pop up on the first page of search results.
Ideally, that is where you want to be. Getting there is no easy task, though. You need to get indexed and ranked first. And then you need to build enough trust so that your article or post can end up on the first page. There are many ways to get your content ranked, like creating quality content. But keywords can take you pretty far.
I will show you where you can do research on keywords, what the research means, how to effectively use them and a few tips to increase your keyword power.

The enterprise membership is for when you want to go really big! You have access to the best resources on the market and unlimited searching opportunities for only $99/month. I know that’s a lot of money, but for a big business, its a small price to pay for good market research. Here’s what you’ll get:
How to Use Them Right
Keywords can be incredibly powerful if you know how to use them. You can’t just throw them around in a post and hope to reach the first page. If Google sees you are cramming keywords into a post, they will penalize you for it.
A good technique to use is to use your keyword in the title of your post, and somewhere within the first two paragraphs of your content. You can use it throughout the post too, but just make sure it sounds natural. A keyword crammed post can sound awkward and difficult to read.
When you use it in your title, try to add something else too, to make the title sound more engaging. For example, in this specific post, my keyword is How to Use Keywords in Blogging. I used that as my title and then added a little part at the end -Tips and Tricks. Google likes this, and your readers might be more captivated.
A Few Keyword Finding Tips
If you are struggling to think of ideas for keywords, you can always go directly to Google and type in something vague. Google will then give you a list of recommendations about what people are searching for often. That would look like this:
This can give you a few ideas. You then take one of those ideas and use a research tool like Jaaxy to find out how that keyword is doing. You can find endless keyword ideas this way, and all you really need is Google to get started.
Alternatively, you can go down each letter of the alphabet using your vague term and see what comes up. You follow the same principle as before, but targeting letters to narrow it down, like what I did with the letter a:
You can get creative and find all kinds of ways to tap into brilliant keywords with techniques like this.
You can go incredibly far with your blog or website if you know where to look. This is your first step to something amazing. Remember, you can sign up for a free Jaaxy account anytime and get 30 free searches a month, or you can use any other research tool you want to, it doesn’t matter which.
